TV mounting in Monument and Colorado Springs

Level, anchored into solid studs, and tested before I leave. Evenings and weekends, usually within a couple of days.

Pricing. Every job is quoted before I start, and the number I give you is the number you pay. There is a $125 minimum for any visit — that is the price of a truck showing up, and it is exactly why I will come out for one small job when most contractors will not. Tell me what you need and I will get you a number.

What you get

  • Studs located and the bracket lagged into solid wood — not drywall anchors, not toggle bolts holding a $2,000 television.
  • Laser-leveled and checked against the ceiling line, because a TV that is level to the floor still looks crooked if the room is not.
  • Cables gathered and run in a paintable surface raceway or sleeve so you are not looking at a tangle.
  • Everything plugged in, powered on, and tested before I leave.
  • Drop cloths down, holes patched if the position moves, debris out.

Brick, stone and fireplaces

Plenty of houses up here have a stone or brick fireplace as the natural TV wall. It is doable and I do it, but it takes masonry anchors and more time, so those jobs are quoted on site. Send me a photo and I can usually give you a number over the phone.

Why it costs more than the guy on Craigslist

Because I am insured, I show up when I said I would, and I have spent years doing measured installation work professionally. A TV that comes off the wall is not a cheap mistake.

Questions I get

Do you supply the mount?

You can supply it or I can pick one up. If you are buying, get a mount rated well above your TV's weight and tell me the model when you book.

What do you do about the cables?

I tidy them into a paintable surface raceway or a cable sleeve that runs down to your console. It looks clean and it does not involve cutting into your drywall. If you want cables run inside the wall, that is a job for a low-voltage contractor and I am happy to point you toward one.

How soon can you come?

Usually within two or three days. I do this work evenings, so a weeknight after work is often easiest for both of us.
